Thursday, February 12, 2009
Present: Kathy Jacobs, Joanne Russell, Liz Schweitzer, Kristi White, Fred Kletke, Marcia Van Ness, Jeff Friedle, Amelia Opubor, Megan O’Brian, Mark Grebner, Josh Smith
Absent: Brendan Boyle, Jim Bebermeyer, Bill Hartwig, Debi Robinson, Kate Bennington
I. Agenda: Approved with additions:
1. E.L. Dialog Sign-up
2. Bike Paths for RCCA community
II. Introductions: None
III. Approval of Minutes: Correction by Marcia toVI-1, CRC to change “students” to “Neighborhood Partners. Motion to approve by Liz Schweitzer. Second By Jeff Friedle. Motion passed
IV. Treasurers Report: $880.00 funds from Ronk Book sales
$337.88 RCCA funds
$1217.88 Total

VI. Committee Reports:
1.CRC. Megan O’Brian will graduate and be leaving us this spring. Marcia Van Ness is looking for a replacement. CRC is planning another neighborhood carnival on April 25
VII. New Business:
1. Proposed E.L. Ordinance 1212 Joanne Russell initiated our discussion and relayed the concerns expressed by the other Neighborhood organizations. After discussion it was determined that RCCA did not approve the proposed ordinance as written. Mark Grebner motioned that RCCA not support Ord 1212 in total. Second by Jeff Friedle. Motion approved by all except Marcia Van Ness.
2. Annual Meeting RCCA’s annual meeting is scheduled for April 25 at the Red Cedar School. Joanne Russell will contact Eldon Evans from E.L.’s PACE to be our guest speaker and look into the cost of RCCA providing pizza and drinks.
3. Community Bike Paths Discussion regarding the importance of including budget money for bike paths in current and future development plans for the RCCA area.
4. E.L. Dialog A sign-up sheet is being circulated for those who desire to communicate via the internet
